Time Alibi The Quantum of Jazz Between the Sun and the Grave Andrew Acheson Book 1 eBook Husky Harlequin Reviews
Time's Alibi was an interesting read, because it illustrates how far someone can go if the greed or possession takes over. In addition to that the book shows what could happen if you feel that you lose your footing in life.
This book was very entertaining and sucked me in. There are a lot of chapters. The chapters are short and quick moving. The characters are well thought out. I almost thought I knew Andrew (the hero). There were twists and turns everywhere. There was action, love, drama, sadness and humor. The attention to detail was astounding. It would be exciting to see this book made into a movie. I really enjoyed reading Time's Alibi. I'm glad I could share in the adventure! Make time to read this book!
This novel is a different and interesting take on the time travel theme. The protagonist is an intriguing character who is flawed and knows it, but is forced to "grow up" and face his flaws in order to make it through the challenges he faces. It took awhile to figure out who/what the antagonist is, but it seems to be by design to build the mystery around what is happening with the plot. The short chapter style of the book was different for me as the scene does not always change from one chapter to the next, but many times the focus of the characters in the scene will change with a new chapter. There is a definite open end to the story. Many of the questions that are raised get answered, but enough are not answered to leave room for the next book. I will look forward to reading it!

Andrew Acheson's grandfather has been searching for a cure since a rare blood born pathogen claimed the life of his beloved wife. His grandfather, David, has now been missing for over a year and is presumed to be dead. The rest of the family can't wait to get their hands on his pharmaceutical empire. Andrew's grandfather isn't dead, though, and Andrew will have to find him and deal with his most dangerous invention yet time travel.
Time's Alibi The Quantum of Jazz Between the Sun and the Grave (bit of a mouthful!) by Husky Harlequin is a great sci-fi novel with a cool time travel hook. It reeled me in from the first chapter and didn't let me go. I'd like to go into more detail about some aspects of the plot, but I don't want to get into spoiler territory. Trust me when I say it's good to go in nearly blind on this one. Each short chapter is quite fast-paced and packed with sci-fi action that you won't want to miss. I can say that Harlequin's storytelling is pretty solid. His time travel isn't the most original, but I have to admit it's still cool. Plus, his character development is quite good, particularly when it comes to Andrew. Andrew gets a pretty good arc over the course of the novel.
Overall, Time's Alibi is a strong sci-fi debut. If, like me, you're a fan of time travel you'll absolutely have to give it a try. I also recommend it if you're interested in reading about dysfunctional families, piecing together mysteries, and thrillers. I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to the release of the second book in the Andrew Acheson series.
Innovative plotting, excellent character development, exciting action. Caused me to think. Can't wait for Volume 2 !
This novel is full of mystery, twists, drama, life's challenges and non-stop action. The subject is very current with today's news and quite inventive. It is a true page turner and I hated to put it down. It definitely leaves you thirsting for more! Can't wait to read the sequel!
