This is a book that could be used as an example of how NOT to write. Within just a few pages, you'll discover that the writer hasn't the foggiest notion as to the voice of the characters he tries (and fails) to develop. Myriad are the ways that the writing jars the reader away from whatever story-line may be being pursued.The only good thing about this book is that is was (A.) cheap, and (B.) the first one in some sort of series of "adventures." As cheap as the book was, I'd still like to get my money back.Product details

This book is in the gain as thousand dollars books.except this only better cause he brings in dog facts and ideas i never heard of .can't what to start book 2.
Wendt is a good storyteller and author. Don't let the naysayers dissuade you. The few editorial issues you might notice won't take you out of the story.
Love reading dog stories, and I love the fact that you train dogs. I was looking for a different kind of book that wasn't about mystery murders. This book was great. Good verses evil! And a good conscience. There were a few mistakes with the writing but nothing to get crazy about. Write on Charles! On to the next book.
I enjoyed the book, as I enjoy reading about working dogs and the relationship to their handlers. Kelton was a disillusioned good guy. I look forward to reading more. I also appreciate the note about editing. Keep them coming!
I liked the story and characters and read the entire book even though errors that would have been corrected by a good editor were distracting. Then I read the author's note at the end. Editors are too expensive. He asked for readers to send him suggestions. Intriguing idea! I love this author in spite of his use of wrong words, e.g. "trimmers" instead of "tremors" and so on. Just ignore all the rough edges and enjoy the story.
Great story that would have teaching appeal to many young men. There is lots of action reinforced with a strong moral code. The pace is furious and keeps you turning each page and wanting more at the end. War over Melton Later and his trained companion and searching for life and meaningless returning home. An unfortunate encounter with a band of outlaw bikers starts this tale and the action adventure blazed across the pages. This is a new series i will be following. I have great anticipation for more stories to keep me engaged. Highly recommend for readers who live action with a purpose.
I love any books with dogs, cats or other animals included and this one does not disappoint.
I liked the character of Kelton - quiet, contained and not so full of angst that he is unable to function. I love his dog, Azrael, who is so loyal and strong.
The storyline is strong and uncompromising, well written with minimal typos. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately made a resolution to obtain the next two in the series. I have read both of them - one after another, as though they were one volume.
I am greatly heartened to read that Mr Wendt is typing his fingers to the bone crafting another Kelton and Azrael adventure.
